Heroscribe Comics!

This last piece of art in our mini-exhibition is near and dear to my heart, not just because it features characters I created, but because it’s so freakin’ awesome! When I created Flaming Arrow’s arch-nemesis, Stych, I had no real story idea in mind. But, as soon as I saw this awesome cover by Michael Troy, I was ready to commit to another mini-series!

This pic captures exactly the kind of iconic storytelling I strive for with Heroscribe Comics!

I really thought Michael peaked when he did the first five pages of The Exceptionals. However, I was dead wrong! Turns out he’s multi-climatic…as an artist I mean. (Get your mind out of the gutter people!)

The following artwork will absolutely be a part The Exceptionals, the mini-series  that will blow fans’ minds this summer!

I can’t say too much without giving away some serious plot points, but it’s soooo loaded with symbolism that we can’t possibly explain it all until the annotated TPB comes out. <grin>

Michael Troy (Crotchmen, The Blonde Squad) is such a prolific artist that I can’t write fast enough to keep up with him! I have three pieces of never-before-seen Michael Troy original art that I just can’t wait to share. Therefore, you’re getting a mini-Michael Troy art exhibition. All three will be used in upcoming projects, but they’re just too de-li-cious not to give Heroscribe Comics! fans a sneaky peek.

The talented Mr. Troy created this artwork (and possible cover!) as a homage to a famous X-Men cover by Paul Smith, but I think it’s incredible in its own right.

This pic is a flashback of our Exceptionals characters Cardinal and Weaponeer set long before the mini-series we’re debuting at Comic-Con this summer.  It’s based on a follow up project we’ve discussed,  tentatively titled The Early Fears, that will explore more about the what it was like for The Exceptionals to grow up with their famous mentors.
